Sometimes you may encounter corrupted game data, which usually occurs when the PS3 suddenly powers off in between normal operations. When trying to delete the corrupted game data, it may seem nothing is happening. Let the PS3 do it's work and try to delete the corrupted game data, and usually after about 45 mins or so, the corrupted game data should be deleted. This is same case for large game data files, let the PS3 do it's work and try to delete the game data files. It may take long but the game data files do get deleted at the end.
