Tips for Google Adsense

The following are a couple of tips and tricks to help improve your Google Adsense ad relevance:

  • Add title attributes to your links - The title attribute provides a description for your links and helps with SEO.

  • Add title attributes to your images - The title attribute can also be added to images, and as explained above they provide a description for your links and helps with SEO.

    <img src="myImage.jpg" title="This is my image.">. Adsense sometimes uses title attributes of links and images to decide what ads to show.


  • Use <Heading> tags for your most important text - You should consider adding your most important text <H1>, <H2> and <H3> tags. Adsense will sometimes decide what ads to show based on the <Heading> tags.


  • Give sensible names to your images - Try to name all the images on your page that reflect the content that is on there. Not only is this good for SEO but its also good for Adsense.


  • Use descriptive Meta Keywords and Meta Descriptions - Meta tags reflect information about the content page and information you want Adsense to pull ads from.


  • Use Bold and Italics for relevant keywords - Adsense also looks for keywords in <b> and <i> tags, so consider placing relevant keywords in these tags to help Adsense show relevant ads.
